About the event

Incense in the annual cycle – Mabon/ Alban Elfed/ Michaelmas – autumnal equinox

After a brief overview by herbalist Mag. Angela Olbrich kunstpflege.at about the Celtic annual cycle and information on Mabon, the autumn equinox and second harvest festival in the annual cycle, we turn specifically to 3 incense plants of this time.

Mabon is the second Thanksgiving of the year and is considered a celebration of thanksgiving and balance. The "three white women", "the three Bethen" or the "three holy girls" are celebrated, who are said to weave the thread of fate and stand for the past, present and future.

Together we will weave a small cornucopia and find one or two personal herbal mixtures that are suitable for the time of the second harvest, the fruit harvest. We celebrate "balance" - finding one's own balance, "balance & justice", "accept & thank" and will enjoy fresh applesauce together. Handouts included. This workshop is suitable for incense novices and those with some experience alike.
